Settings overview

Settings are grouped by who or what they affect. Open the gear icon in the left rail, then choose a section from the sidebar.

Account settings

• Account — session, workspace switching, cookie choice, privacy requests, team creation, and account closure.
• Usage & plan — current plan, remaining AI credits, recent usage, checkout, billing management, and cancellation.
• Voice & audio — voice availability, remaining minutes, and audio handling.
• Collaboration — team identity, invitations, members, roles, and seat tiers.

Collaboration appears for team workspaces. Billing and member-management actions appear only to roles allowed to use them.

Project settings

These sections require an open project:

• Project — title, format, audience, binder organization, manuscript target, sync state, and archive.
• Project access — which active team members can open this project and what each person can do.
• Critic — analysis mode, enabled engines, sensitivity, and structure comparison framework.
• Formatter — house style, enabled rules, and project dictionary.

Project settings follow the project and apply to its members. They are separate from personal writing-view preferences.

Application settings

• Desktop app — installers, requirements, and release availability.
• Writing experience — interface language, theme, manuscript typeface and spacing, focus defaults, typewriter scrolling, and browser spellcheck.

Writing-experience choices stay on the current device and do not change export formatting or another collaborator's view.
